Dr. Jon Milleman has released a Transition Plan highlighting his priorities and goals for his first six months as Superintendent of Lebanon Community School Corporation. The Transition Plan has three phases, extending through January 2020, and culminates in a final report to the LCSC Board of Trustees.

The first phase of the plan focuses on relationship-building. In addition to meetings with key stakeholders, Dr. Milleman will host a series of listening sessions. These listening sessions will be open to the public for the purpose of gathering input. Sessions are scheduled for both daytime and evening hours, and take place in Lebanon and Whitestown.

Transition focus groups will be established to advise, provide feedback, gather data, and assist as appropriate throughout the transition period. The focus group will be composed of representatives of the diverse school and community stakeholders. Anyone interested in serving on a Transition Focus Group should submit an interest form no later than August 16.

The focus group interest form and listening session details are included in the plan and also posted on the district website.

Throughout the transition, Dr. Milleman will provide regular updates on the process to the community through social media channels and monthly blog posts, and to district employees through school visits and regularly scheduled meetings. The expected results of the entry plan include a summary of observations and key findings, which will be presented to the LCSC Board of Trustees and available to the public in January 2020.
