2023 Spring Cleanup Applications Available
From the Boone County Solid Waste Management District:
We are in full swing of planning for our big spring cleanup to work towards making Lebanon the Cleanest City!!
This year, we are going a bit earlier to coincide with Earth Day and we would love your help!

City Hosting E-Waste Collection
On March 18th at Lebanon High School, the city will host E-Waste collection.
February Proclaimed Career & Technical Education Month
On Thursday, February 2nd, Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry proclaimed February as Career and Technical Education(CTE) Month. Mayor Gentry, along with representatives from Lebanon Community School Corporation joined students at Vincennes University and the Gene Haas Training Center, to share the good news.
Emergency Crews Perform Cold Water Rescue Training
The Lebanon Fire Department, along with other emergency responders braved icy waters and sub-freezing temperatures to perform cold water rescue training. “We are out here on a 13 degree day working on our ice water training. We try to do this once a year,” said Lebanon Fire Department Lieutenant Sam Dougherty. “We do it to keep our skills up, like with any other fire fighting skills, but this is one that we try to during the cold weather times.”
City Files Motion to Dismiss Suit
On January 31st, the City of Lebanon filed a motion to dismiss a suit filed by 11 plaintiffs, pertaining to the voluntary annexation of 5,225 acres. Below are a few excerpts from the City’s motion, as well as the filing, in its entirety.

This year is slated to be a big one for Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co. (NYSE: LLY) as the pharmaceutical giant plans to release four new medicines to the public, with even more in the pipeline. Lilly is also moving forward with its plans to anchor the LEAP Lebanon Innovation District in Boone County with a $2.1 billion manufacturing campus that could create up to 500 jobs.

Eli Lilly Unveils Lebanon Campus Plans
(Content Courtesy: IBJ) A $2.1 billion Eli Lilly and Co. manufacturing campus in Boone County would include 12 buildings totaling more than 1.6 million square feet, a company official told the Lebanon Planning Commission on Tuesday night.

In the Stone Eater Bike Park March Update, large quantities of donated stone are being delivered to the bike park site. City engineer Kevin Krulik shared what that stone will be used for, and gave an overall progress update.
Savor Lebanon Returning in 2023
Savor Lebanon returns to Lebanon for a seventh year May 6 in downtown Lebanon. The open-air festival featuring craft beer, wine and spirits takes place from 2-6 p.m. around the downtown Lebanon square.
Stone Eater Bike Park – February Update
“We are going to deliver a project this year,” finished Krulik. “But there are levels to this project for it to be expanded, and just get better and better, and that’s where we are looking for partners. Please help us build the Stone Eater that we all want. We are going to take care of that first phase, but we would really like to see partners help us get to the next level on this park.”
