The Boone County Historical Society was first organized in October 1923 It was active into the early 1930s but went dormant until 1977 when Ralph W. Stark, who was the Society’s first secretary, led a reorganization.
BCHS is a not for profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Boone County history and governed by a board of directors.
