FreeTwo Chicks and a Hammer to present at Home and Business Expo
The Boone County Chamber Home and Business Expo, April 19-21 at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds, will feature a presentation by the stars of HGTV’s “Good Bones.”
Previously known as the Boone County Home and Garden Show, the three-day expo is an all-new event in 2018. Besides the traditional exhibitor booths showcasing products and services from across the greater Boone County region, attendees also will find family-friendly activities, entertainment, presentations and demonstrations.
HGTV celebrity guests “Two Chicks and a Hammer,” mother and daughter duo Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak, will share their mutual passion for rehabilitating homes and making a positive impact on Indianapolis neighborhoods. Their presentation and meet and greet are scheduled for 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 21, in the Witham Pavilion.
Other activities include Kids’ Night on Thursday, April 19, with inflatables, face painting, balloon art, touch-a-truck, and more, as well as the 64th annual Lebanon Kiwanis Club’s Pancake Supper. Friday night will include a performance by Darlington Road from 6-8 pm and a “Corkscrew and Brew” event that will showcase local breweries, wineries, and restaurants/catering companies. On Saturday, attendees can enjoy a variety of presentations and demonstrations, including WIBC 93.1FM Home and Garden Show high-profile air personalities Pat Sullivan and Denny Smith broadcasting LIVE from 9am –1pm on Saturday!
“This expo is an example of one of the many benefits the Chamber provides to our members,” said Diane Schultz, Boone County Chamber Executive Director. “It’s an opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and services, and we are confident that the additional entertainment and activities we’ve planned for the 2018 event will bring a large crowd and further increase exposure for our members and the Boone County community.”
Throughout the Witham Pavilion and Centennial Hall, attendees will find products and services from more than 60 exhibitors, offering everything from landscaping and home improvement services to custom golf carts and farm equipment. In addition, attendees can peruse and purchase goods from small business owners in a new marketplace area.
Event hours are Thursday and Friday, 4-8 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The expo is free to attend, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. To learn more, visit BooneChamberExpo.org or search for “Boone County Chamber Home and Business Expo” on Facebook.
