In October, the Lebanon Area Boys & Girls Club and the Boys & Girls Club of Zionsville merged into a new organization, The Boys & Girls Club of Boone County, with three units in Lebanon, Whitestown and Zionsville. Having three units under one umbrella organization, increases our leverage with valued funding sources and creates cost efficiencies with operations such as insurance, administrative fees and more.
Currently, our three units serve over 450 kids daily and 3,100 total members between the ages of 5 to 18, an increase of 60 percent from 10 years ago. In addition to our daily programming, we offer sports leagues, summer camps, and community programs. In Lebanon, we feed dinner to an average 85 kids, five days a week. Without the meal provided by the club, most of these kids would go hungry until school the next day.
We are excited for the second annual Z Gravy Chase in Zionsville, Indiana racing throughout the historic town and along the bricks on Main Street! Start a new tradition on Thanksgiving morning racing with all your friends and family right in downtown Zionsville. Athletes will enjoy the warm and cozy long sleeve Gravy Chase T’s, and of course the camaraderie racing with your family and friends to kick off the holiday. The Z Gravy Chase offers both a 2 Mile Run/Walk and a 4.4 Mile Run/Walk so all abilities will be able to join in the fun. 100% of the proceeds benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County helping them continue their work in offering programs that enrich the lives of local youth.
