Due to an increase in Boone County’s COVID-19 cases, and out of an abundance of caution, Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry has ordered the closing of City buildings to the general public without an appointment until further notice; including the Mayor’s, Clerk-Treasurer’s, and Planning office in the Municipal building, the Parks office in Memorial Park, and the Street Department building on Lafayette Avenue, the Lebanon Police Station, and Fire Stations 11 and 12.

Today, he is one step closer to this dream with the signing of a lease at 125 N. Meridian St., Lebanon, the former Patrick’s Office Supply building on the northeast corner of the courthouse square in Lebanon.
NewCold, a global company specializing in temperature-controlled warehousing and distribution, announced plans today to expand its operations to Indiana, establishing a state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Lebanon. To support its growth, the company plans to create up to 202 new jobs by the end of 2023.
Beginning on October 30th, Witt Road will be closing at County Road 250 North, so that water and stormwater work can be performed. The road closure is in effect until November 6th.
The partners behind Backroads BBQ in Lebanon are opening a steakhouse on the city’s downtown square that will serve meat raised in Boone County. Kinnard and Drake’s 1830 Chophouse at 111 W. Main St. will open the first week of November in a 4,400-square-foot space previously occupied by People’s Revel Room. Chef Shawn Sublette said he and his partners at Backroads BBQ are leveraging their meat supply chain to open a second restaurant with a more upscale offering of hyper-local cuts. At the same time, they’re hoping to showcase the history of the Boone County city; the restaurant is named after Lebanon’s founders and includes the year the county was founded.
The City of Lebanon Fire Department is excited to announce the addition of a Safe Haven Baby Box located at the Lebanon Public Safety Building/Lebanon Fire Station 11. The Baby Box provides a place to safely, anonymously, and securely surrender a newborn in the event the family is unable to care for them. The box is monitored 24/7. When the baby box is utilized it triggers a monitored alarm that notifies Boone County Dispatch.

The Annual Christmas Parade will be held on December 5th, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Please arrive at Memorial Park between 4:305:00pm to start lining up for the parade. We encourage you to enter a float, marching unit, or decorated vehicle!
The Boone County Chamber of Commerce, Boone County Economic Development Corporation, and the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Boone County Convention and Visitors Bureau, today announced the inaugural Bites of Boone County Restaurant Week will occur November 3-7.
