{Content Courtesy: The Lebanon Reporter} Ed Schilling Jr. was named as a member of the 2026 men’s induction class to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on Tuesday morning.
A 1984 graduate of Lebanon High School, Schilling helped the Tigers win three sectional and three regional titles.
As a senior, Schilling averaged 9.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and a state-leading 8.0 assists a game for a 22-4 team coached by Jim Rosenstihl.
He was AP high honorable mention All-State, UPI honorable mention All-State and played in the 1984 Thoroughbred Classic, a national all-star game in Lexington, Kent.
In a 2017 interview with the Lebanon Reporter, Schilling reminisced about his time at Lebanon.
“At Lebanon we did everything together,” Schilling said. “The starting five did everything together, from playing in the park to working out in the gym at 7 a.m. to going to the movies together. We were a big family. More than anything, I remember the camaraderie of the team.”
Schilling went on to Miami University in Ohio, where he set school records for assists in a career (629) and assists in a game (17 vs. Kent State on Feb. 4, 1987).
