[Courtesy: The Lebanon Reporter} Mischief on Meridian capped off a decade with its biggest and most festive year yet Saturday. With nearly 75 stops, kids went home Saturday night with treat baskets overflowing.
The Heart of Lebanon Event Coordinator Sarah Howell said this year’s Mischief on Meridian was outstanding, and more people attended than ever before.
Some booths even ran out of candy before the night was over, sharing last-minute treats between booths and packing up quickly to avoid disappointing trick or treaters, a testament to the event’s popularity in its milestone year.
A costume contest awarded imaginative creations across all ages, and even species with a pet contest. Participants earned third, second and third-place medals for their creativity.
Encounters with both horrifying and beloved characters had kids running for hugs and to hide behind trusted adults. Characters like Snoopy and Poppy from “Trolls” were there, but so was Lebanon Fire Chief Chuck Batts, dressed as a horrifying creature on stilts.
Howell said the main entrance was a huge hit this year, and The Heart of Lebanon plans to continue organizing traffic as the event grows even bigger in future years.
