The Culinary Arts course at Lebanon High School introduces students to the world of food service and hospitality.
Instructed by Ms. Jenny Merritt and Mr. Jarred Miller, this course is designed to provide a strong foundation in culinary skills. It explores essential topics such as food preparation, nutrition, baking, international cuisine, and kitchen safety.
All Culinary Arts courses are offered as dual-credit programs through Ivy Tech Community College, allowing students to earn college credit while gaining hands-on experience in the culinary field. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, students develop technical skills in cooking, knife techniques, and meal preparation while also learning about the science behind food and nutrition.
