“I’m very excited today to see this facility hitting a milestone for us,” said Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry. “Continuing to provide those opportunities for children in our community, but also providing other opportunities for restaurants, retail. All of those things that strong communities want and need.”
“This is the big deal for Lebanon,” said Card & Associates CEO Andy Card. “I hope the community is excited about what is forthcoming. We plan on having the first fieldhouse and potentially hotel open by January of 2024, so we’ve got a lot of work to do.”
“I really appreciate the long-term partnership we have with Card & Associates going forward,” added Mayor Gentry. “I’m also very excited for all of the opportunities this will bring for Lebanon, and for our community here in Boone County.”
“When the Mayor and I started talking, we both had a vision for this property,” added Card. “It came together and now as a result, we both I believe want this to be the gateway to Lebanon. This project, when it’s completed over the next coming years, will be north of a $400M investment by myself, the City, and our partners like Bel Canto. There will be restaurants, hotels, etc.”
“This really has been a vision for this community for more than a decade,” said Gentry. “We knew we had this Holiday Inn site here, and it obviously had a history of tourism. Many people visited it, and we had to ask ourselves, ‘How do we as a community, continue pushing on that history we have while also embracing that future?’”
