Crews from Lebanon Utilities assisted in the restoration efforts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida after Hurricane Ian made landfall. The New Smyrna Beach Utilities had roughly 30,000 customers and more than 14,000 without power due to the damage caused by Hurricane Ian.

Lebanon Utility members employed the phrase “Neighbors serving neighbors” during their service. Sometimes those neighbors just happen to live across a few state lines. LU crews combined with  other utilities throughout the country to help in this time of need. Crews worked diligently in an attempt to get the power restored.

Lineman Jeff McNew and Lineman Apprentice Christopher Bohannon took time away from their family, friends, and homes to travel to Florida to help those in need.
