(Courtesy: The Lebanon Reporter): When Marylou Hume came to Lebanon to open a ballet studio, the east side of the courthouse square was vacant.

This month, Hume celebrates 20 years as owner of the Lebanon Ballet Studio, along with her husband, Don Steffy, and her daughter, Bonnie Anne.

Hume and Steffy met through dance in high school in Ohio, fell in love with ballet and each other, and danced professionally with troupes throughout America and Europe for 12 years. The pair danced on Broadway before settling down to have a family. They started a professional ballet school in Montgomery, Ala., before coming to Indiana.
