Due to ongoing construction along Interstate 65, the Indiana Department of Transportation is installing a temporary traffic signal at the intersection of State Road 32 and Ping Drive, near the city’s Gateway Marketplace development. The temporary signal is expected to be in place for three years. If the amount of vehicular traffic increases due to the growth of the Gateway Marketplace development, the signal could become a permanent fixture.
The second street light will be installed along State Road 39, at the entrance to the Lebanon Business Park at Enterprise Drive. INDOT representatives said a traffic study was performed, and the
traffic and crash data supported the installation of a signal.
