Lebanon Police Promotes Bayles to Major
The Lebanon Police Department is excited to announce the promotion of Tony Bayles effective July 24th , 2019. Tony will be leaving his current duties as a Captain Detective to take on a new role of Major for road operations.
Tony a 27-year veteran of the Lebanon Police Department started in December of 1993. Tony has served this department in a number of roles including as a 20-year Defensive Tactics Instructor and a member of the Boone County Special Response Team. Tony worked the road as a Patrolmen and road Sergeant. Tony held the position of road Sergeant for 8 years before becoming a Detective. Tony has served as a Detective for 8 years the last 2 years being as Detective Captain.
With this new promotion Major Bayles will be responsible for all road operations. Major Bayles will be coordinating all training for Officers of the Lebanon Police Department. This position is also responsible for coordinating Lebanon Police with any Special Events and Department Projects.
Major Bayles is quoted saying “I am excited about this new role and the challenges it may bring at this stage of my career and working alongside Chief Morgan and Assistant Chief Bailey”.
The promotion ceremony for Major Bayles is set to be held at a later date in August 2019.
