Lebanon-based D-A Lubricant Co. Inc. has announced plans to invest $4.6 million to install a new production line at its Boone County headquarters. The automotive lubricant manufacturer says the expansion is expected to be complete within the next year.

D-A Lubricant’s headquarters are located in the Lebanon Business Park. The announcement marks the company’s third expansion since locating to Lebanon in 2011.

Molly Whitehead, executive director of the Boone County Economic Development Corp., tells Inside INdiana Business that the expansion will not result in any new jobs.

“D-A Lubricant is a major sponsor of many racing related events, and we are proud to have a local company represent Boone County on a national and international stage,” said Whitehead. “Automotive manufacturers are target industries for Boone County, and we look forward to attracting more fast-growing companies like D-A Lubricant to our community.”

In addition to the number of expansion over the past three years, D-A Lubricant has also worked to grow its brands. In 2016, the company signed a three-year deal to have its PennGrade Motor Oil brand serve as the presenting sponsor of the Indianapolis 500.
